Hello World!!!
For the geeks out there that greeting may give you a hint as to the direction this blog could potentially find itself heading.. i.e. if we, the authors, are not careful and diligent enough to rein in our inner geekiness.
This blog should actually head in another direction.. or more accurately, in no particular direction at all. No constraints (except for the one mentioned in the previous paragraph), no agenda, just plain fun + information + relevance!
So here we are - a couple of Amherst, MA residents.. students or professors, scientists or littérateurs, curious and eager but with sufficient cynicism and ennui to be not too fresh and not too dreary.
We shall prowl around the Pioneer Valley and report back anything we find worth reporting to you, our discerning audience.
